Medical

GE medical plan options are offered to associates and their eligible dependents. You and your eligible dependents become eligible immediately upon your date of employment. Contributions by associates are made on a before-tax basis.

Dental

The GE dental care benefit is offered to associates and their eligible dependents. You and your eligible dependents become eligible immediately upon your date of employment. Contributions are made on a before-tax basis.

Vision

The GE Vision Care benefit is offered to associates free of charge if enrolled in a GE Medical plan option. You and your eligible dependents become eligible immediately upon your date of employment. Contributions are made on a before-tax basis.

401k

GE offers a number of ways to save for your future. One of the most popular is a savings plan with a 401(k) feature that is available to many associates. Participation is made easy through payroll deductions. The plan offers many diversified investment choices as well as offering many options within the plan. Independent of your 401(K) election, the company provides a retirement contribution on your behalf (CRC).

Flexible Spending Account

Associates are eligible to participate in the GE Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement Account Plans immediately upon their date of employment. You can set aside up to $2,500 for eligible health care expenses and up to $5,000 for eligible dependent care (child or elder care) expenses. Your contributions are made on a before-tax basis, and your reimbursements from these accounts are generally tax-free.

Basic Life Insurance

Electric Insurance associates are automatically covered at 2.5 times their salary under the GE Basic Life Insurance Plan, and 3.5 times their salary for accidental death. Coverage is automatic, and 100% employer paid.

Personal Excess Liability (PEL)

Employees who take advantage of the PEL benefit do so for a price approximately one-third less than the cost of excess liability programs outside of GE's benefits program.
